We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Discharge Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee the discharge operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers engaged in off-loading fish product.
- Ensure all operations are conducted safely & efficiently
- Inspect equipment & cargo handling operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Train new employees the discharge procedure and safety regulations awareness
- Monitor and maintain records of cargo, ensuring accuracy & timely reporting
- Address and resolve any issues that may arise during discharge operations
- Communicate effectively with team members, other departments, and management
- Implement and enforce company policies & procedures
- Proven experience as a foreman or similar supervisory role in discharge operations
- Strong knowledge of cargo handling & discharge procedures
- Strong knowledge of vessel stability
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Working experience of at least 10 years in the marine industry
- Medically fit to work, sober habits and no criminal record
