New Concept Mining Aeroton (Epiroc Ground Support)
Manage the movement of the companys Ground Support imports and exports in and out of the country, respectively, in accordance with company policy and procedure, complying with relevant country and international laws and processes
Qualification Requirements
Matric/Grade 12
Formal qualification in Imports, Exports, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field
Knowledge &Experience
5 Years export experience
Good judgment, organizational and communication skills
Computer Literacy: Strong excel & Syspro
Electronic Import and export documentation experience is advantageous
Preparing cargo for exports
Knowledge of the Customs Act and related legislation
Knowledge of SARS Customs processes
Knowledge of freight forwarding operations
Knowledge of Import and Export Controls (SARB)
Knowledge Customs Declarations, Release Notifications, Provisional Payments, Manifests and transport documents
Functions
- Communicate with import and export customers, sales agents, Import and export staff and freight forwarders if necessary to ensure efficient positive support and activities.
- Plan and implement export activities consistent with overall aims and requirements of the organization.
- Plan and execute Import clearances and deliveries with relevant departments.
- Liaise with other departments within the company in order to establish and maintain effective and relevant export activities and support in relation to export sales, stock availability, production planning, purchasing of non-stock materials for export and overall operating functions.
- Use personal judgement and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles in export activity and procedures.
- Manage/Liaise with stock control, warehousing and distribution activities influenced by or reliant upon import activities.
- Prepare and submit relevant administration in a timely and accurate manner, eg. Shipping schedules, commercial invoices, packing slips, routing and transport documentation.
- Investigate, plan and implement effective and relevant transport methods, which meet optimally the needs of the organisations customers.
- Manage the necessary Import, export and cross trade documentations and forms with efficiency and accuracy and in accordance with SARS/SARB compliancy.
- Direct freight forwarders on correct clearance regimes, Modes of transport, INCOTERMS and Tariff headings.
- Ensure correct weights and dimensions are obtained for all export shipments ensure communication to relevant parties during the shipment process.
- Track, monitor and report on shipments status to all stakeholders
- Manage and keep under control freight costs and transit times for all shipments.
- Monitor Import shipment and determine duties payable before they become due
- Ensure correct clearances on all Import shipments
- Ensure all shipments are recorded in the Shipment Register
- Ensure all exports comply with legal and regulatory requirements including payment terms.
- Clearly understand, process and apply Letters of Credit and related payment methods of payments for international transactions
- Ensure export and import permits are processed on regulated shipments.
