Purpose Statement
The Technical Assistant / Junior Engineer will provide technical and administrative support to the General Manager (GM) to ensure the efficient operation of engineering processes. This role involves managing technical tasks, coordinating projects, scheduling meetings, and offering administrative assistance.
Reporting Structure

- Technical Support
- Manage technical tasks and assist engineers with process design, research, and development.
- Perform data analysis to support production and engineering projects.
- Identify trends and issues for improvement, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Contribute to product and system development, conducting tests to validate designs.
- Process Improvement
- Identify areas for engineering process improvement and propose solutions.
- Support the implementation of new systems to enhance productivity.
- Maintain detailed documentation of process changes and outcomes.
- Administrative Support
- Manage the GM's schedule, meetings, and travel arrangements.
- Draft and handle communications on behalf of the GM.
- Prepare materials for meetings and take minutes, ensuring follow-up on action items.
- Organize and maintain engineering records (e.g., blueprints, reports).
- Project Coordination
- Monitor project progress, ensuring timely task completion.
- Assist in coordinating resources (equipment, tools, materials) for projects.
- Act as liaison between engineering/maintenance teams and other departments or external stakeholders.
- Inventory and Resource Management
- Monitor and manage inventory of technical supplies and equipment.
- Procure necessary equipment and materials for projects.
- Health and Safety
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements within the area of responsibility.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and report safety hazards, incidents, and accidents.
- Quality Assurance
- Adhere to company quality principles and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Comply with Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) standards where applicable.

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience.
