Customer Technical Service Engineer

Purpose of the role
  • This role manages quality related customer satisfaction responses from the consumers and customers in relation to organization products and builds on relationships with filling plants
Responsibilities
  • Develops and maintains systems to preserve quality customer satisfaction relating to service activities and product
  • Collates report from on-site RPM packaging Clerks at each of the customers filling plants
  • Interacts with customers to resolve technical issues (filling/seaming process and related quality/material incidents
  • Ensures company logistic capabilities meet up with customer local off load requirements. Ensures storage conditions at customer warehouses are adequate
  • Acts as customer contact for label development and can promotions and as first point of contract for any quality/technical related challenge at customer site
  • Makes regular and planned customer visits when customers fill organization cans
  • Processes and records call transactions using a computer and designated tracking software
  • Assists in the process and continuous improvement/Recycling unit with the execution of the recycling program
  • Monitors performance (quality, food safety and services) according to agreed standards and takes necessary action to communicate/advise/assist according to performance level
  • Monitors standards and updates to ensure internal quality and food safety management system attains requirement
  • Maintains all corrective and preventive actions data for customer issues. Attends all customer SPP meetings
  • Utilises problem solving tools in conjunction with process improvement unit to eliminate customer quality concerns
  • Monthly report
  • Manages customer feedback and share reports after each visit
  • Supports all Material and technical incidents raised by customers and provides formal feedback within 7 days of incident being formally communicated
  • Implements, maintains, monitors, and improves the quality and food safety management system for company
  • Assist and support QA functions with problem solving and trials, including regular seam analysis reporting and other filled product assessments
