We are looking for a Treatment Coordinator who will be responsible for managing patient treatment plans, providing administrative support, and enhancing the patient experience through effective communication and technological proficiency.
This position requires a proactive, professional, and detail-oriented individual who is skilled in basic image editing and proficient in English. The right candidate must have some kind of experience in a medical environment, not necessarily in a dental practice and the position will require someone with a willingness to learn, a quick thinker and someone with a passion for a patient centred environment
The position will initially be based in the Wynberg area and will also cover the Atlantic Seaboard area.
Requirements:
- Engage with patients to explain recommended treatments and answer their questions.
- Create and present treatment plans to patients in a clear, understandable and professional manner.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Maintain an organised filing system.
- Attend to bookings and coordinate appointments for various treatments, ensuring efficient patient flow.
- Utilize Microsoft imaging to edit patient photographs and treatment documentation as needed.
- Ensure high-quality visuals for patient education and documentation purposes.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate patient records, treatment plans, and financial agreements.
- Type succinct notes as the dentist dictates whilst attending to patient treatment.
- Handle patient inquiries, emails, and phone calls professionally and promptly.
- Anticipate the needs of the dentist and the practice, assisting with various tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure excellent communication with patients, addressing their concerns and guiding them through their treatment journey.
- An undergraduate degree or diploma is an advantage
- Proven experience in dental administration and treatment coordination is an advantage.
- Proficiency in image editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop or Microsoft imaging).
- Strong computer skills and technologically sound.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
