Cape Mental Health is a non- profit orginasation that offers a comprehensive mental health service in the Western Cape. One of its projects working with adults with Intellectual disabilty. Training Workshops Unlimited seeks to employ a driver that would be based at the Athlone Workshop.
Job responsibilities:
- Ensure that the vehicle is kept neat and tidy at all times.
- Check tyres, oil, and water regularly.
- Report any problems immediately to the Senior Training Instructor.
- Ensure that the vehicle is not overloaded.
- Ensure that the vehicle is regularly serviced.
- Drive for the center according to the instructions of the Senior Training Instructor such as collections, delivery of goods, fetching donations, taking staff to meetings.
- Drive to head-office or any of the other projects when requested.
- Responsible for vehicle preventative maintenance, to ensure vehicle remain in a excellent running order
- Responsible to report all vehicle breakdowns immediatley to superior
- To regularly complete vehicle log book and to ensure vehicle movement is recorded.
- Participate in fundraising events.
Job requirements:
- SA Drivers license/ with PDP and code 10
- Matric
- Good understanding on intellectual disability and handling techniques
- Good communications skills in English and other additional Western Cape official language
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a NGO environment
- Honesty and integrarity
