Major Duties And Responsibilities
Preparation of accounts:
- Prepare journals and final GL balances including month end balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports for operational management.
- Assist with the production of statutory accounts for the Group and its various subsidiary companies as and when required in accordance with the relevant accounting principles and the applicable legislative requirements.
- Assist with year-end audit.
- Play a part in providing relevant & timely financial information to the Exco to enable a balanced and objective assessment of the Group's strategy and objectives.
- Prepare customer invoices timeously and assist Financial Controller with debtors as required.
- Prepare monthly creditor and bank reconciliations accurately.
- Loading payments signed off by the CFO.
- Assisting with preparing monthly processing of payroll and payments to employees.
- Ensuring fixed asset register for all companies in the group is updated accurately on a monthly basis. Perform periodic stock counts of assets.
- Maintaining and transferring money between bank accounts as required.
- When required, play a part in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and business plans and continued monitoring.
- Perform monthly reviews of work performed by financial personnel in Group companies and report findings to the CFO.
- Ensuring that all components of the trial balance is up to date and accurate accounted for. Responsibility includes but is not limited to: Ensuring the effective working of all internal controls e.g. Cash, Credit Card and Creditor Reconciliations and payments. Ensuring adequate inventory controls and timeous payment of creditors.
- Assist with the preparation of returns for Corporation tax, VAT and other relevant taxes are submitted, payments made on time and all relevant regulations are complied with.
- Filing of all financial paperwork and related documentation.
- Ensure the Chief Financial Officer is kept informed of industry developments, which are relevant to the operation of an efficient finance function.
- Assist with changes to standing or new banking arrangements.
- Taking responsibility for, and supervising the work of, more junior members of staff.
- Carry out any further tasks for which your qualifications & experience are suited as directed by the Company as mutually agreed.
