About The Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Junior Accountant. The ideal

candidate should have a proven track record of working with UK companies, specifically in handling HMRC filings and

payments, and possess a strong understanding of UK VAT and PAYE legislation. Proficiency in Sage UK Accounting &

Payroll is essential for this role. The candidate should be capable of working remotely, demonstrate the ability to

perform under pressure, and possess excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute HMRC filings and payments on behalf of UK clients.
• Stay updated on UK VAT legislation, ensuring compliance with filing requirements and facilitating payments.
• Stay abreast of UK PAYE legislation, handling filings, meeting requirements, and facilitating timely payments.
• Utilize Sage UK Accounting; Payroll for effective financial management and reporting.
• Work independently and remotely while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
• Demonstrate the ability to handle pressure situations and meet deadlines effectively.
• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders through email, written reports, and verbal interactions.

Qualifications And Skills

• Completed accounting degree
• Completed articles would be advantageous
• CIMA Registered
• Previous experience working with UK companies in a similar capacity.
• In-depth knowledge of HMRC filings and payments processes.
• Proficient in UK VAT legislation, including filing requirements and payment procedures.
• Familiarity with UK PAYE legislation, including filing requirements and payment procedures.
• Essential proficiency in Sage UK Accounting; Payroll.
• Proven ability to work remotely and independently.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines consistently.
