Primary Purpose of the Job
The incumbent will provide a Junior Assistant Accountant function to the business
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Reconciliations
- Assist with processing of bank, petty cash, sales invoices and purchase invoices
- Assist with bank and petty cash reconciliations
- Assist with foreign bank and petty cash revaluation
- Assist with matching of supplier accounts and other balance sheet accounts
- Assist with maintaining fixed asset registers and calculating depreciation
- Assist with any other balance sheet reconciliations such as net pay, income tax account etc.
- Assist with income statement adjustments on reports based on internal company policy
- Assist with accruals and prepayments
- Assist with general ledger investigations
- Assist with adhoc tasks such as filing, copying of invoices, adding information onto excel or anything else that may be required from time to time

- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external role players
- Develop a climate to facilitate teamwork
Ensure Compliance and Company procedures
- Adheres to deadlines on all processing
- Adheres to Company policies and procedures i.e. health, safety, security, Overseas Move Management Company procedures etc.

Qualifications and experience required
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Certificate in Financial Accounting or studying towards
