About the Role
As a Junior Bookkeeper, you will manage accounts receivable and cashbook functions. Provide timely and accurate financial transaction recording and relevant info to stakeholders. Your role is crucial in maintaining robust financial controls and policies.
Responsibilities
Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Managing and processing accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and on time.
Reviewing and updating existing customer details or create new accounts as needed
Emailing invoices to exhibitors and copy sales coordinators.
Reviewing and reconciling payroll reports to identify and correct errors.
Reconciling debtor collection reports with Pastel and bank records.
Monitoring and manage the collection of revenue for all nominated events, adhering to due dates.
Requirements
Have Grade 12 or holds an Accounting or Financial tertiary accreditation.
Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have experience creating and maintaining spreadsheets.
Display dynamic knowledge of financial principles, accounting procedures, and internal controls.
Able to work additional hours to fulfill responsibilities during exhibitions.
Able of undertaking both domestic and travel in Africa as needed.
