The Junior Broker position offers an exciting challenge and career opportunity for someone with around 1 years experience within insurance looking to join an established broking team within an market leading insurance broker.
This is a full time role and you must be able to attend the office a minimum of 3 days a week including Monday and Wednesday.

- Handle the Placement Broker function on low complexity accounts.
- Provide input to the Client Executive regarding the content of the renewal information questionnaire.
- Attend the Internal Renewal Strategy Meeting.
- Attend the Client Renewal Strategy Meeting, where necessary.
- Check quoting slips and policy wordings drafted by the Technician.
- Calculate Loss Ratios and As If claims statistics.
- Collate documents received from various sources into Broking Notes.
- Broke / negotiate terms with local market.
- Analyse and collate terms / quotes / alternatives received for the Client Executive.
- Issue and obtain insurers signature to closing instructions / placing slips.
- Confirm cover to Claims Dept and Client Executive.
- Prepare premium calculations.
- Approve final policy wordings issued by the Technician.
- Draft correspondence.
- Develop relationships with Insurers at the appropriate level.
- Attend Placement meetings regularly.
- Comply with Marsh Professional Standards.
- Comply with procedures relating to errors and omissions.
- Demonstrable insurance experience
- Basic knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
- Obtained or working towards FAIS compliance
- RE 05 (Representatives Exam) Essential
