Junior Civil Engineer/Technician, Cape Town

Our client is a leading excavation and demolition firm of commercial buildings and structures in the Western Cape. They have a vacancy for a Junior Civil Engineer with about 3 years of structural experience and a hands-on approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in and monitor project progress and provide regular updates to project managers
• Ensure quality and demolition standards are complied with
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards
• Communicate with seniors proactively about any risks or concerns
• Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in civil engineering techniques and technology

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or related field
• 2-3 years of experience in structural engineering, excavation or drilling and blasting
• Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant computer programs
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Sound communication and interpersonal skills
• Leadership potential
• Knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and standards
