A Cape Town based IT support and consulting company seeks to appoint a junior desktop support technician.
Job requirements:
- General IT knowledge for support purposes.
- Windows 7, 8 and 10.
- Microsoft Office, including Office 365.
- Antivirus and basic Firewall knowledge.
- Installation of operating systems and hardware.
- Knowledge of network hardware and configuration thereof.
- Basic knowledge of Server 2008, 2012 and 2016.
- Must be in possession of a valid drivers’ license, and have own reliable transport.
- Good communication skills, fluent in English (written and verbal).
- Grade 12, plus IT qualification (MCP, MCSE, N+, etc.).
- South African ID.
- Self–motivated, trustworthy, flexible and can work without supervision.
Job responsibilities:
- Provide prompt, courteous service to all clients.
- Setup of computers, laptops and mobile devices.
- Installation or replacement of network equipment.
- Backup checks.
- Network and computer audits.
- Liaise with other vendors.
- Assist senior technicians.
