Candidates will be entering the project finance space where they work on finance projects relating to both the public and private sectors. By gaining exposure to various projects to develop and maintain financial models and conduct analysis, you will rapidly grow your skills in a fast-paced and dedicated team.
Key Duties Of The Junior Financial Analyst
- Development and maintenance of appropriate financial models
- Reviewing, management, and amendment of existing financial models
- Preparation of reports and presentations
- Analysis of financial models and datasets
- Providing assistance in marking up and preparing reports and agreements
- Attending meetings with stakeholders
- Develop the financial modelling competencies of the organisation
- General project management assistance
- Assisting with business development tenders
- 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Applicants with degrees in Mathematics of Finance/Financial Mathematics, applied mathematics, or a Bachelor of Business Science
- CFA/FMVA would be beneficial
- Some experience of designing and building financial models from scratch preferred (or alternatively, of amending or adjusting the models created by others)
- Strong Maths, Science, and/or languages at Matric level, and strong academic results at Varsity
- MS Excel & MS Excel Advanced skills, non-negotiable
- VBA, preferred
- C++, R, Python, or other related programming languages, advantageous
