Job requirements:
- Must be computer literate (MS Word, Excel & Outlook)
- Valid driver’s license and own transport
- SACPCMP Registered
- SAMTRAC certification or similar
- 2 years’ experience working as a safety officer
Job responsibilities:
- Compile safety files for upcoming projects as per client specification
- Conducting risk assessments, incident/accident investigations, compile SHE reports, communication of SHE related matters.
- Coordinate required safety training
- Ensure H&S training is valid and updated as required
- Book medicals
- Site inspections and audits
- Issue PPE and keep records
- Prepare new policies and procedures as required
- Willingness to travel to conduct safety inspections /audits outside PE
- Sub-contractor H&S management
