Overview
The Junior IT Technician should have a good understanding of IT infrastructure and network hardware with the ability to quickly learn new technologies and products. A individual who is able to work independently, with strong analytical and problem solving skills would be best suited to this position.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- A+, N+ Certification
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
- MCSA will be of benefit
- Skilled in MS Office
- Basic Network Troubleshooting and Network cabling experience
- Working knowledge of computer/laptop hardware and troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of backup solutions
- Working knowledge of AD and DC
- Working knowledge of VOIP telephony systems (Yealink)
- Working knowledge in Servers (MS Server 2008 R2, 2012 ,2016) will be an advantage
- Valid driver`s license and own reliable vehicle
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage daily and on-going technical operations
- Oversee and maintain secure, efficient and robust Desktop and Network architecture
- Provide onsite and Remote IT Support
- Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes
- Maintain hardware and software inventory
- Printing/Scanning support (IP Printing, shared network printing, local printers)
- Implement, administer and troubleshoot IT infrastructure devices, Including wireless access points, Telephones, routers, switches
- Assist in managing disaster recovery/business continuity plan to ensure timely and cost-effective recovery of computers, telephony and network
- Assist in implementing and/or developing essential technology use policies and procedures
- Provide technical hardware and software support to all employees and branches
- Escalate support queries to Upstream provides when necessary
- Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
- Lead or support special projects as determined by IT Management
Able to work after-hours and or standby
