Junior Process Engineer - Oil & Gas

PURPOSE OF ROLE

To provide a technical service and develop technical outputs within the Engineering Team.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors Degree in a relevant engineering discipline from an accredited university or equivalent.
• Registered professional with ECSA or recognised international body.
• Minimum of 2 years in Design Engineering of which sometime ideally have been in the Energy Industry.

KEY TASKS

• Concept development & Feasibilities checks.
• Technical Specifications.
• Compilation of enquiry packages.
• Provide input to WBS.
• Provide input to schedule.
• Technical write ups.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT : INDUSTRIAL

• General:
• Communicate software requirements to LDE/FAM
• Application of required Codes & Standards
• Effective change management
• Definition Phase:
• As per Proposals above
• Input to concept development
• URS Freeze
• Design Phase:
• Basic and detailed design development
• Addressing internal / external review comments
• Obtaining AFD and AFC Freeze
• Implementation Phase:
• Technical support during installation
• Test & Commissioning support
• Handover
• As-built documentation
• Punch list resolution
• Input to lessons learnt

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT : NUCLEAR

• General:
• Communicate software requirements to LDE/FAM
• Application of required Codes & Standards
• Technical Co-ordinator (as appointed by the FAM)
• Effective change management
• Definition Phase:
• As per Proposals above
• Concept development
• URS Freeze
• Design Phase:
• Scheme and detailed design development
• Addressing internal / external review comments
• Obtaining Design Freeze
• Implementation Phase:
• Technical support during installation
• Test & Commissioning support
• Handover:
• As-built documentation
• Input to lessons learnt

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSESS THE FOLLOWING :

• Awareness of Project Charter and PMP requirements.
• Basic knowledge of PMBOK principles and LNS-PM-I-PCD-001 (Industrial Project Management).
• Awareness of EMP (Engineering Management Plan).
• Application of LNS-P-PE-006 (Control of Industrial Designs) and all its reference procedure.
• Basic knowledge of KAA-501 and LNS-P-PM-001 (Nuclear Project Execution).
• Application of LNS-P-PE-001 (Control of Nuclear Designs) and all its reference procedures.
• Application of LNS-G-PE-008 (Proposal Guide).
• Technical interface.
• Basic knowledge of Health & Safety Act, ISO 14001 and 18001.
• Provide input to the CCP process (Change Control Process).
• Interface with the estimators / cost engineers.
• Provide input to project schedules.
• Adherence to all policies applicable to Engineering activities, e.g. leave, travel etc.
• Application / input of IFS times.
• Basic knowledge of applicable software tools (Process, Stress analysis, Engineering integration, Safety analysis, draughting, Infrastructure, etc) as required by the project.
• Input to Primavera, MS Project.
• Basic knowledge of applicable software platforms such as Aconex, Key 360, M-Files.
• User of applicable software tools such as M-Files.
• Awareness of applicable Documentation Control and Configuration Management Processes.
• Application of LNS-G-PE-014 (Engineering Change Management).
• Adherence to relevant Design Notes.
• Adherence and use of Job Notes.
• Basic knowledge of performance management.
