Job Description:
Responsible for the Quantity Surveying Function as right hand to the Senior QS & directors.
Main tasks:
Direct interaction with the Senior QA & directors as well as the group financial manager for cash flow management and projections.
Interaction with sites, contracts manager and site agents to appoint and manage new and existing sub-contractor's.
Measure on-site subcontractors work and process subcontractor payments.
Preparing bills of quantities.
Pricing of client extras as well as VO's and SI's.
Calculation and document processing for NHBRC.
Interaction with clients regarding claims and draws as well as final account issuing.
Interaction with company buyer and cost analysis of materials and budgets.
Leasing with professionals and management of accounts.
Setting up of programs for projects for site agent's cost control.
Monthly reporting to management on budged control.
Develop and maintain various models and standard templates.
Minimum Requirements:
BTech in Quantity Surveying or similar qualification
Maximum one year experience as Quantity Surveyor
Proficient in English & Afrikaans
Additional Requirements:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Experience in residential (“high end homes”) building projects is preferred
Analytical skills
Ability to work independently and under pressure
