Reporting to the Team Manager: Application Support, the role will be responsible to provide dedicated support to business by managing data / system exceptions on both a technical and business front and maintain existing business intelligence solutions.
Develop, test and release business intelligence solutions as per the defined architectural and design standards

Education
- Matric
- IT Related Degree/ Diploma
- SQL Certifications would be advantageous
- Minimum 2 to 4 Years SQL experience
- Must have experience with SQL queries, stored procedures, functions and triggers.
- Experience in other BI technologies such as MS Power BI
- Skills in Microsoft BI technologies such as SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS
- Demonstration of knowledge of best practice and project standards for coding
- Understanding of all database structures and relationships in the database structures
- Knowledge of software development and testing
- Is articulate and communicates in a logical way and structures information to meet the needs and understanding of the stakeholders
- High standard of integrity, service excellence and a passion for the industry
- Ability to think strategically, execute quality proposals under multiple and competing deadlines and work extra hours as needed (evenings and weekends)
- High level of creativity, inspiration, innovation and ability to think "outside the box"
- Self-driven and ambitious with excellent negotiation skills
- Provide support to business in Investigating and solving report and data related queries
- Generate, build and design reports / dashboards and data extracts as per SLA
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
- Monitor, support and maintain BAU processes
- Perform data analysis by writing relational and multi-dimensional database queries
- Designs, develops, maintains and enhances SQL applications/ETL, databases, reports and pipelines
- Develop and maintain professional credible relationships with key stakeholders (IT and the business), including relevant third parties to resolve data / system issues & to ensure work delivered conforms to prescribed standards
- Responsible for producing working implementation (code) from functional / technical documents like a functional specification.
- Streamlining and automation of the support processes
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and gather requirements
- Software development and testing, Unit testing as well as integration testing of code
- Support and assist the Business Analysts / Deployment Team in issues relating to the System Processes
- Documentation of current or new processes
