- Calibration and maintenance of all equipment.
- Coordinate projects related to improving quality and quality systems.
- Proficiency in carrying out the required analyses according to standard procedures and work instructions.
- Perform routine analytical and product quality tests on final product as well as raw material.
- Feedback results on shift to line technicians and manager with respect to opportunities and possible corrective action.
- Ad hoc audits on shift in terms of lab support provided.
- Prepare laboratory for internal and external lab audits.
- Control of stock requirements per shift.
- Ensure all data reports are completed and the results communicated.
- Ongoing trouble shooting to identify possible causes of problems and to improve quality results and accuracy of data.
- Investigate out of specification results and implement corrective actions.
- Closing off of Non conformances.
- Must follow all Safety Rules, Regulations, Laboratory Procedures, Corporate/Plant Policies, and Laws at all times.
- Effectively communicate with other laboratory technicians to maintain the proper flow of information concerning the lab activities as assigned by the Quality Control Supervisor.
- Perform training of operators and other technicians in performing simple analyses and tests related to their working area (as needed).
- Enter finished product and raw material information into electronic data base.
- Diploma: Food Technology (or equivalent in experience)
- 1-3 years Laboratory Experience
- Experience with GC
- Computer Literacy
- Written & Oral communication
