THE JOB AT A GLANCE:
As the lead business analyst you will be responsible for the designing, planning, developing, and executing or the business, financial, and operational systems. These business processes involve collecting and analysing data for supporting the business, projects, and operations. You also be accountable for documenting reports on identified system issues with technical solutions. You need to be equipped with communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to assist other business analyst professionals in improving the systems. You will additionally be required to lead a team of BAs.
Responsibilities
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Youll work with executive stakeholders to determine the contribution that business and IT improvements can make to achieving business objectives; defining strategies, agreeing and prioritising business requirements, conducting feasibility studies, producing both organisational-level and detailed business models, and overseeing the definition and implementation of holistic solutions.
- As a leader, you will take responsibility for the business analysis service provision for the business unit, where advice given and decisions made will have a measurable impact on the profitability or effectiveness of the organisation.
- Youll determine the value proposition for the business analysis function.
- Youll define the roles and responsibilities for the business analysis team.
- Youll act as an advocate for the business, ensuring the IT provision meets the strategic objectives of the organisation or business unit.
- You will recognise opportunities for the business from organisational and technological change and define change initiatives that will exploit such opportunities
- Youll ensure that business benefits are clearly defined, appropriately quantified and are managed through to realisation.
- As a Lead BA, you will advise and influence executive management throughout the business change lifecycle, ensuring that change initiatives are aligned with the strategy and enterprise architecture.
- Writing and presenting fluently and persuasively on all aspects of business analysis work will be a core skill of yours, while communicating effectively with executives and staff at all levels and grades - and with external audiences in both public and organisational forums to ensure successful outcomes, Verify the efficiency and effectiveness of existing systems and develop strategies for improving these systems.
- Define the criteria of results by identifying and setting up the scope and parameters of business analysis.
- Connect with other business analysts for planning, developing, designing, and implementing new applications and improving existing applications.
- Examine the hardware and software products and check if they fulfil the demand of the end-users.
- Document the reports on recommendations and alternatives that list potential problems in the operating systems of the company.
- Help the management to make strategic decisions by providing cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses for operating systems.
- Collaborate with business analysts to analyse customer reviews for both modified and new business analytics applications.

WHAT YOULL BRING TO THE TABLE
Key attributes and competencies
- Ability to work in teams - determination and focus on task delivery
- Detailed orientated; analytical thinking; problem solving; ability to innovate and find work arounds, where possible.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Ability to work with data models and a good understanding of reporting processes and requirements in large organisations
- Lead a team of Jnr BAs & experienced BAs from a Day to Day basis and on project delivery as and when required Innovation thinking
- Collaborate with Peers and Snr IT Team members Experience
- Line of Business, Business Services and Middleware documentation experience a plus
- Accurate translation of business needs into requirements that are understood by all stakeholders
- Establish excellent communications across stakeholder domains
- 8+ years of progressive experience within business analysis including leadership responsibilities
- 5+ years of experience writing, evaluating, and de-constructing user stories
- 3+ years of experience working within a financial services industry or other.
