Lead Cloud Solution Architect (GCP)

Advise clients on cloud computing strategies, including cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, and cloud management and monitoring. Oversee the architecture and deployment in cloud environments and deliver hands-on, business-oriented strategic and technical consulting for cloud infrastructure, automation solutions, and solution architecture.

Lead the presales and consulting practice and have the following primary responsibilities related to Google Cloud:

Cloud Strategy Development
Develop and implement a comprehensive cloud computing strategy that aligns with the organization's overall business goals and objectives. This includes identifying opportunities for cloud-based solutions, defining cloud adoption roadmaps, and developing business cases for cloud initiatives.

Cloud Solution Design and Architecture
Provide technical leadership and oversight for the design and architecture of cloud-based solutions including defining cloud solution architectures that meet scalability, availability, security, and performance requirements and ensuring solutions are aligned with industry best practices and standards.

Cloud Governance, Risk and Compliance
Establish cloud governance frameworks that ensure cloud-based solutions are compliant with relevant regulations, policies, and standards. Establishing and enforcing cloud security policies, monitoring compliance, and identifying and addressing potential security risks.

Cloud Technology Evaluation and Selection
Evaluate new and emerging cloud computing technologies and provide recommendations for adoption.

Cloud Migration Planning and Execution
Develop and execute cloud migration strategies for existing applications and infrastructure - identify migration priorities, develop migration plans, and coordinate migration activities.

Cloud Cost Optimization and Management
Develop and implement strategies for optimizing cloud costs and managing cloud expenses.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
IT/Engineering or related Degree
Google Cloud Professional Architects & Google Associate Cloud Engineer Certifications
Network engineering or similar certification advantageous

An in depth understanding of Public/Private/Hybrid Cloud solutions and experienced integrating public cloud into traditional hosting/delivery models with a specific focus on GCP
Demonstrable experience architecting large-scale cloud migration projects and supporting cloud-based infrastructure
In-depth knowledge of various IT and or Telecoms technology architecture domains and convergence
Extensive experience in conducting Cloud Readiness Assessments observing business and technical perspectives and in evaluating existing Compute infrastructure and digital strategies
Experience in conducting cloud service maps, TCO analysis, security considerations as part of a wider Cloud Adoption Framework
Cross Domain Technology Architecture knowledge coupled with implementation experience including a combination
