Lead Electrical Technician at Thenga Holdings

As a minimum, the candidate will be expected to perform the following duties on LV and MV Systems:

Fault finding, repairing, and maintaining the following equipment's and hardware:

HVAC systems
Refrigeration's systems
Boilers (Gas fired and coal fired)
Drive Motors & Variable Speed Drives
Lighting Systems
Various equipment in the health care sectors (Autoclaves, Calorifiers)
Distribution Transformers
Circuit breakers
Lighting Arresters
Air Break (AB) switches / Isolators
Insulators
Busbars
Capacitor Banks
Earthing
Fencing
Distribution Panel Board

Selection of equipment and new installations for the following LV and MV systems / equipment:

HVAC systems
Refrigeration's systems
Boilers (Gas fired and coal fired)
Drive Motors & Variable Speed Drives
Lighting Systems
Various equipment in the health care sectors (Autoclaves, Calorifiers)
Distribution Transformers
Circuit breakers
Lighting Arresters
Air Break (AB) switches / Isolators
Insulators
Busbars
Capacitor Banks
Earthing
Fencing
Distribution Panel Board

Other Duties

Lead and mentor fellow teammates
Training of fellow teammates
Perform any other duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience

Red seal trade test
Installation Rules
Unit Standards on inspection, testing & certification of three phase industrial/commercial installations
Minimum of N3 (Preferably N6 and registered as MIE{Red Card})
Wireman's License
Valid Drivers License
Computer Literate
Minimum of 5 years working experience
Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical control circuits, wiring, and lighting systems.
Ability to Read and interpreting technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
Preforming electrical maintenance on various equipment's and circuitry, including motors, DBs, Generators, Boilers, Autoclaves, Lighting, Calorifiers, HVAC Equipment, overhead power lines and systems, Circuitry and hardware of various installations and equipment's as already described.
Interpreting legislation (e.g. building code), standards (e.g. National Electrical Code) and by laws in order to correctly select equipment for new and existing installations (Breakers, Switches and cables but not just limited to such).
Good Working knowledge of the various testing tools such as mega, Multi-Metersetc.
Fault finding, maintenance and repair on LV and MV equipment's and circuits (HV experience is an advantage)
