Lead Engineer: Civil & Structural

PURPOSE OF ROLE

The Discipline Lead Engineer for Civil & Structural Engineering will provide specialist support and expertise to the Civil & Structural engineering team throughout all project lifecycle phases (Engineering/Procurement/Construction). This role is responsible for delivering projects, ensuring compliance with applicable design codes and standards, and overseeing the Civil & Structural engineering team's work.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
  • Functional oversight of Civil & Structural engineering team
  • Planning and scoping of design components
  • Technical input for project planning and cost estimation
  • Ensuring design integrity and compliance with standards
  • Participation in tenders and proposals
  • Contract negotiations
  • Design generation and review
  • Engineering change management
  • Participation in testing and commissioning activities
  • Involvement in HAZOP studies
Qualification And Experience
  • B.Sc or B.Eng in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • ECSA registration non-negotiable
Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in the EPC industry.
Knowledge

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS COMPETENCIES
  • CIVIL & STRUCTURAL codes and standards
  • OHS Act and it Regulations and how it applies to the CIVIL & STRUCTURAL Disciplines
  • ISO, ASME-NQA-1 and IAEA quality systems
