We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Settlement and Reconciliation to lead our Settlement and Reconciliation development and product teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payment systems, with an emphasis on settlement and reconciliation processes. You will be responsible for defining and building out settlement processes and systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless and efficient payment processes for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Define and communicate settlement and reconciliation processes and systems to all relevant stakeholders.
- Prioritize requirements based on business value, customer needs, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee the development and management of the settlement and reconciliation systems, ensuring they meet industry standards and company objectives.
- Work closely with the finance team to understand and address challenges in the settlement and reconciliation process.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure settlement processes and systems are delivered on time and within budget.
- Conduct market research to identify new trends and technologies that can enhance our payment solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and insight to development teams, ensuring that the solutions proposed align with best practices and industry standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating business needs into technical requirements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to payment processing.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings, providing technical expertise and insights to support strategic decision-making and alignment with organizational goals.
- Monitor settlement processes and systems performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor transactional data and financial records to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products through agile methodologies. Act as a bridge between business stakeholders, including operations, finance, and compliance teams, and the development teams.
- Interrogate data sources and extract meaningful information and insights
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a business analysis or similar role within the payment industry, with a focus on settlement and reconciliation.
- Strong understanding of payment systems, financial software, and regulatory requirements in the fintech sector.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Understanding of risk management principles in the context of payment settlements and reconciliation.
