- To control and manage the spares department in order to provide an efficient service to branches, customers and service department in line with regional and national objectives.
- Implicit in the responsibilities is the achievement of sales budgets as well as stringent stock control measures.
- Accurately manage stock take activities and cycle counts.
- Co-ordinate the annual financial year end full stock count
- Ensure that branch replenishment orders and warranty orders are kept to an optimum level.
- Monthly management report.
- Attend to HR and IR related issues and consult with HR department to resolve same.
- Monitor the purchase of consumables and packaging materials.
- Monitor receipts and despatch functions to ensure no delays.
- Monitor GIT and MIGO reports to ensure timeous receipts.
- Ensure deliveries to branches are within SLA agreement.
- Resolve all branch, warehouse & customer queries effectively and timeously.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of Grade 12 with three years experience in a spares or warehouse environment.
- In possession or studying towards warehouse management qualification will be a definite advantage.
- Working knowledge of SAP with WM will be a distinct advantage.
- Industrial relations certificate or studying towards same.
- In addition to the above requirement applicants must be articulate with above average communication skills and will need to display competence in the skills dimensions of assertiveness, managing work and decision making.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office
