Learning & Development Manager, Sun City

The role is responsible for the implementation of integrated HRD initiatives to build current and future talent. This role needs to ensure that the /Cluster/stand-alone BU that has the required skills and competencies that enables the growth of the business

Key Performance Areas

Needs Analysis
  • Gain a good understanding of strategic objectives and deliverables for all areas of the business
  • Conduct extensive needs analysis to determine employee and departmental gaps for development
  • Analysis of trends, development plans, survey results

HRD Program Implementation
  • Implement HRD initiatives that ensure /Cluster/stand-alone BU is a learning organisation that enables the development of talent and creates a high performing culture.
  • Partner with HR and OE Specialists to implement programs that building capabilities for driving sustainable, profitable business growth.
  • Monitor the ROI / success of program intervention
  • Maintain records of all initiatives implemented
  • Co-ordinate logistical arrangements to ensure HRD programs are effectively and professionally facilitated
  • Implementation of an onboarding programme for the business unit
  • Implementation of learnerships for the business units
Programme Development and design (fit for purpose Business Leadership, Technical and Functional programs)
  • Conduct research to assist in the design and development of course material
  • Compilation of training material, presentation material, facilitator guides and manuals for programme design
  • Assess ROI and transfer of knowledge and skill
Skills Development Compliance
  • Implement processes that monitor and drive the Workplace Skills Plan
  • Project manage the implementation of learnerships and other pivotal programmes for the Business unit
  • Accurately record and safely store documentation, costs, and learner information
  • Update relevant systems with learner and learning programme information
  • Communicate and update relevant stakeholders
Skills Spend
  • Prepare budget / forecast / skill spend
  • Maintain records and backup documentation of all skills spend
  • Understand and follow-through on tax breaks, grants relating to pivotal programmes.
  • Compilation of skills spend and documentation for BBBEE reporting
Reports
  • Compile and feedback reports on BU
  • performance based upon best practices methodologies
  • WSP
  • ATR
  • BBBEE dashboard info
  • Month end reports
  • Financial reports
Stakeholder Relationship Management
  • Identifies service requirements and performance
  • Maintains regular communication (e.g. communicates product performance)
  • Manages non-conformance issues
  • Meetings attended as per schedule
  • Departments / staff are informed of information required to meet their needs and contributes to operational effectiveness
  • Departments objectives, standards and operating procedures are communicated to internal and external service providers as per SLA
People Management and Development
  • Managing staff conditions of employment, e.g. Attendance, leave, adherence to policies and procedures
Qualifications & Experience
  • University Degree or relevant qualification in ODETDP(Occupationally directed Education, Training & Development)
  • System Training
  • Post Graduate Qualification in Human Resource Development or related field
  • 3-5 years experience in performance consulting including;
  • Experience in an HR generalist position an advantage
  • Proven experience in change management and project management
  • 2 3 years Experience working with SETAs and ETQAs and workplace skills planning
  • Experience in a hospitality and gaming environment an advantage
