Responsibilities
Learning & Development
- Create and Execute learning strategies and programs for all staff
- Collaborates with others to develop and implement Internship and learnership.
- Evaluate individual and organizational development needs.
- Assess the success of development plans.
- Help managers develop their teams through career pathing.
- Manage relationships with W&R SETA and training providers.
- Track budgets and negotiate contracts
- Corresponds with W&R SETA
- Administration and collection of Grants (Funds from SETA)
- Complete all IT88 for SARS to claim back tax on training
- Set up training plans (Formal, Informal and LinkedIn Learning)
- Writing training material
- Training Facilitation (Classroom training/Electronic)
- E-learning for Buying, Sales, Contact Centre, and Shared Services
- Lead with the execution of all BBBEE transformation interventions in the L&D sphere
- Submission of Employment Equity plans
- Maintenance of Employment Equity files
- Set up and lead Employment Equity meetings
- Reviews application materials to verify minimum qualifications for positions/pools are met.
- Prepare reports related to employment equity
- Analyzes recruitment and employment data to ensure that adverse impact is not affecting applicants for recruitments.
- Prepare reports regarding applicant and employee demographics.
- Coordinates hiring committee monitor assignments; serves as a resource for monitors and serves as a monitor for screening/interviewing committees.
- Trains, supervises, and evaluates specific classified staff and student employees in the department.
- Performs other duties as assigned and by Head of Human Resources as needed.
- Bachelors degree in human resources/Management, Organizational Behaviour or Development or a related area
- Minimum 5-10 year's work experience
- Proven experience as L&D manager, training manager or similar.
