This position will be based at the Head Office in Woodmead with travel to operational sites on a needs basis.
Description
This role is an enabler in the achievement of the Companys Learning and Development objectives and will focus on implementing routines for planning, coordinating, standardisation, reporting, record keeping, vendor and site liaison. The work of the role will focus primarily on designing and implementing a clear framework for the effective and efficient delivery of standardised technical and non-technical training across all Minopex SA operations, as well as liaison with the relevant SETAs to ensure appropriate lodgement and registration of the Companys learning programmes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, plan and implement a framework for the effective delivery of standardized training, management routines and reporting to ensure compliance
- Coordinate and drive the review and updating of site-based training databases and matrices
- Plan, coordinate and drive consistent application of approved policies and procedures
- Participate in the development and updating of training materials and ensure uploading onto appropriate LMS platforms
- Provide day-to-day support for site-based Training departments
- Design, plan, coordinate and implement appropriate electronic filing / record keeping protocols for all sites to align with
- Support the L&D Manager to coordinate and schedule reporting routines with site-based training and line management teams
- Support Line Managers and Training Officers through the Training Needs Analysis process
- Compile and submit the Companys WSP and ATR annually
- Be the Companys registered Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) working with various SETAs
- Plan, coordinate and drive site-based skills development committee meetings
- Implement and uphold Company policies and procedures
- Generate accurate L&D reports
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement on all L&D processes
- Give input to opportunities for automation, system enhancements and new learning technologies
- Support the L&D Manager to plan and coordinate monthly review meetings between the Training and Finance teams to ensure data completeness and accuracy
- Support the L&D Manager to prepare the Training data set for internal and external BBBEE verification
- Supervise subordinates in their daily activities to ensure that administration is according to organizational standards and training requirements
- Advise line management on skills development of personnel & provide information for the development of succession plans
- Promote adherence to HRD related legislative requirements
- Supports the L&D Manager to compile annual Training budgets
- Recommends and incorporates cost saving initiatives into budgets and controls expenditure within approved parameters
- Flags potential under / over expenditure risks timeously
- Degree in one of the technical disciplines; or a Diploma with a valid Trade Certificate in a mechanical / electrical discipline / a National Certificate in Mineral Processing Level 4
- ODETDP Level 5
- Registered MQA Skills Development Facilitator, Assessor, Moderator
- Certificate in Quality Assurance (advantageous)
- Valid drivers licence code B, EB or C1
- At least 5 years experience at Senior Training Officer / Coordinator level
- Experience in the mining industry
- Computer Literate in MS Office & Learning Management Systems
- Experience in ISO 9001 internal auditing
