Learning Delivery Specialist

What You Will Do

The main purpose of the role is to be part of the Competence Development Team and should be familiar not only with the training objectives but also be familiar with the Competence Development Center BBBEE and employment equity objectives. Skills Development administration is a key core performance area for this role.

Reporting: This position reports to the CDC Manager.

Job Objectives

Skills Development
  • You should be able to maintain professional administration for the Competence Development Department.
  • Conduct skills audits to identify training needs within the organization.
  • Develop and implement the Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR).
  • Act as a liaison between the organization and external stakeholders such as SETAs (Sector Education and Training Authorities).
  • Assist SDF with the development of the WSP and the necessary consultation.
  • Identify opportunities for funding and grants to support training initiatives.
  • To keep and maintain data records related to training to update BBBEE reports and employment equity.
  • Attend SDF forums and SDF training if SDF is unavailable.
Co-ordination
  • Liaise with training providers to deliver appropriate training programs.
  • Coordinate the scheduling and logistics of training sessions.
  • Ensure that training programs comply with relevant legislation and quality standards.
  • Align skills development initiatives with the organizations strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand their skills development needs.
  • Facilitate communication between management and employees regarding training opportunities and initiatives.
  • To take responsibility for planning and executing travelling of all apprentices and learners planning to be attending training.
  • Assist to maintain learnerships policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with national skills development regulations and guidelines.
  • Manage the Skills Development Levy and ensure that it is utilized effectively.
  • Liaise with the SDF around issues of skills development.
  • Liaise with stakeholders with regards learnerships, Skills programmes, internships and apprenticeships.
  • Keep appropriate training records, including processing of leave and overtime of Apprentices.
  • Report on training conducted on all training sites and business units of the Volvo Group.
  • Knowledge of working with different SETAs, in particular the merSETA
  • Should take responsibility of processing of all invoicing, recording and tracking the budget managed and set by the SDF.
Qualification & Job Experience
  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • Diploma in office administration or higher qualification in HR and Development.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting.
  • Skills Development Facilitator Certification.
Key Competencies
  • Should be excellent in Microsoft Excel.
  • Good interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Should have exceptional administrative.
  • Strong numerical and Verbal ability.
