Lecturer: Accounting (JB4261)
We are currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Accounting Lecturer specializing in computerized bookkeeping and Pastel software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practical experience using computerized accounting systems.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions in computerized bookkeeping and the use of Pastel software.
- Develop and update course materials to ensure relevance and alignment with industry standards.
- Provide hands-on training and support to students as they navigate computerized accounting systems.
- Facilitate discussions and activities that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Assess student learning outcomes and provide timely feedback to support their academic growth.
- Stay current with developments in accounting technology and software applications.
Requirements:
- Hons degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Sage qualification - to teach computerised accounting/bookkeeping
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred but not required.
- Practical experience with computerized bookkeeping systems and proficiency in using Pastel software.
- Previous teaching or training experience in accounting or related subjects is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
