Lecturer: Brand and Marketing (Independent Contractor)

The IIEs Vega School Johannesburg campus is seeking a part time Lecturer (Independent Contractor) for the second semester of the 2023 academic year.

Job Purpose

Lecture based on provided content, ensure students are guided and supported in their learning. Mark student submissions and engage with campus teaching and learning.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Ideal

BA Honours in: Brand Leadership or Strategic Brand Communication

Alternatively

BCom Honours or above in:

Brand Strategy and Management Specialising in Marketing Communication
Strategic Management
Marketing Management
Marketing Management Science
Business Management
Brand related field to be considered.

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

Lecturing experience in the disciplines of Brand Strategy; Brand Management; Marketing Management.
Industry experience in the field of Brand and/or Marketing Communication or related field is essential.

Key Performance Area

Prepare for lectures based on provided content.
Supplement content with own expertise.
Deliver assigned modules to the stated outcomes and contracted hours.
Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback.
Support student academic success by implementing workshops where needed.
Perform academic admin, such as capturing assessment marks and reporting on student success. Provide content feedback. Engage with professional development opportunities and attend initial training sessions.

Working Conditions

Please note that this is an Independent Contractor position
Positions are part-time, with lectures taking place between 08:00 and 17:00
