LECTURER (TWO POSITIONS)

Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for:
- Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students;
- Supervising research on undergraduate and postgraduate students;
- Participating in skills training and assessment;
- Updating course content and revising study guides;
- Curriculum transformation
- Maintaining the electronic learning environment;
- Performing other academic and research duties as may be delegated by the Head of Department;
- Conducting research at a nationally and internationally competitive level;
- Participating in the Departments strategic initiatives relating to research, teaching learning and community engagement.
- A relevant Masters degree in Diagnostic Radiography or related Health Sciences;
- Current registration with Health Professions Council of South Africa;
- At least one DHET accredited publication.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND BEHAVIOURAL ATTRIBUTES) :
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Good interpersonal and mentoring skills;
- Good computer skills;
- Scientific writing skills.
- Experience in a clinical environment;
- A relevant PhD in Radiography;
- At least one (1) year teaching experience
- Mammography certificate;
- Clinical experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- A valid drivers licence;
- A DHET accredited publication must preferably be published in the last three years.
