SAE Institute is looking for a passionate and qualified visual arts lecturer to teach and inspire young minds at our Rosebank campus in Johannesburg. Must have some understanding of animation and drawing software skills.

- Minimum NQF Level 8 qualification (BA Honours) in relevant field
- Experience in the fields of visual arts (fine arts) and visual literacy, concept art, gesture/observational drawing, media literacy and research of a minimum of 2 years.
- Classroom management and workshop facilitation skills: A minimum of 2 years recent experience in an academic or training environment preferred.
- Must be knowledgeable about fine arts practices, particularly drawing, painting and sculpting.
- Must have experience with digital drawing (using drawing tablet) and drawing software (e.g. Photoshop).
- Must be knowledgeable about art history.
- Must have a body of work that demonstrates competency in fine arts.
- Knowledge of research practices and ability to teach and assist students with academic writing and referencing would be a plus.
Be able to execute and facilitate the demands of lecturing, lesson planning, delivery, develop and conduct appropriate practical and theoretical assessments, as well as teaching and learning materials pertinent to modules, administration, student support and review.
