Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Legal Manager to join their team and contribute to the success of their thriving business.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Advisory:
- Provide accurate and timely legal advice on all matters affecting the business.
- Conduct legal research, draft legal opinions, and assess legal and reputational risks.
- Negotiate, draft, and review various commercial contracts.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive database of legal templates. Implement a contract management program.
- Supervise all MIOSA complaints, compile statistics, and draft responses.
- Proactively engage with case managers at MIOSA, the NCC, the CCMA, and MIBCO.
- Supervise letters of demand and responses, monitor external legal spend.
- Keep abreast of relevant legislation in the automotive and related industries.
- Support the FIC compliance team, formulate and implement policies.
- Assist with the formulation of charges in disciplinary matters.
- Provide training to internal chairpersons of disciplinary hearings.
- Attend conciliation, con-arb, and arbitration hearings at MIBCO or the CCMA.
- Assist with company secretarial tasks, board reporting, and presentations.
- Suitable candidate must have a recognized legal qualification.
- Be an Admitted Attorney.
- 5 years Post qualification experience, with at least 1 year in-house legal experience.
