We are seeking an accomplished Legal Officer with expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements. This role also entails managing commercial litigation if it arises. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with unprecedented transactions and a proven track record in handling high-stakes negotiations and disputes.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting and Reviewing Commercial Agreements:
- Develop, draft, and meticulously review a broad spectrum of commercial agreements, including but not limited to memorandums of understanding, client agreements, collaboration agreements, and other bespoke contracts.
- Ensure that all agreements are legally sound, clear, and tailored to meet the specific needs of the company and its business partners.
- Negotiation and Advisory:
- Provide strategic legal advice to the commercial team throughout the negotiation process to ensure favorable terms and alignment with corporate objectives.
- Take an active role in negotiating agreements with clients and partners when necessary, demonstrating skillful negotiation techniques to protect the company's interests.
- Risk Management:
- Analyze and identify potential legal risks associated with commercial transactions.
- Propose and implement effective risk mitigation strategies to minimize exposure and safeguard the company's position.
- Updating Standard Agreements:
- Regularly review and update existing standard agreements to ensure they remain relevant, compliant with current laws and regulations, and reflective of industry best practices.
- Litigation Management:
- Oversee and manage commercial litigation cases, including case strategy development, document preparation, and representation of the company in legal proceedings if required.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel when necessary and ensure efficient handling of litigation matters.
- Education and Admission:
- Admitted Attorney with at least 6 years of post-admission legal experience.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, with a proven track record either in a private practice or as in-house counsel.
- Demonstrated experience in managing commercial litigation.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint with advanced skills in document drafting and presentation preparation.

- Strong drafting skills with an exceptional ability to produce clear, comprehensive, and precise legal documents.
