Logistics Coordinator - Cape Town

Responsibilities:

In this administrative role, you will play a vital part in the smooth operation of our Logistics Department, ensuring the efficient management of stock and the safe, timely delivery of goods to clients and manufacturers. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will bring your meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills to the forefront, contributing to the streamlined flow of stock within Bluecube.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare weekly and ad-hoc stock reports, aiding in the accurate management of stock.
  • Monitor stock levels for new starter equipment and promptly request replenishments as needed.
  • Generate daily lists of equipment required by the builds team, facilitating seamless workflow.
  • Address issues with lost or damaged shipments by initiating follow-up communication with clients.
  • Coordinate collections and deliveries, keeping clients and manufacturers informed at all stages.
  • Monitor the Lighthouse ticket queue to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Liaising with 3rd party couriers to clear shipments through Customs
  • Produce both internal and external reports, contributing to well-informed decision-making.
  • Keep a watchful eye on the goods-in email inbox, ensuring efficient response times.
Role Objective:

Your objective as a Logistics Coordinator is to ensure the smooth and accurate management of stock within Bluecube's Logistics Department. This includes overseeing internal tracking, processing, and client stock reporting, while continually seeking ways to optimise processes.

Skills and Background:

Essential:
  • Proven experience in administrative roles with a focus on logistics and stock control.
  • Ability to work on their feet, sitting and standing throughout the day
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Competent under pressure while maintaining efficiency.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, coupled with a proactive approach.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate over the phone.
Desirable:
  • Previous experience within the IT sector, demonstrating industry-specific knowledge.
  • Experience in raising international shipments and customs knowledge
Qualifications / Accreditations:

Ideally, Possess Higher Education Qualifications Or Equivalent Professional Training.
