Logistics Officer

Job Description

As the Logistics Officer you will manage all national operations within the USA and Canada to streamline delivery processes and transactional flows.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Logistic Management (Oversee all inbound and outbound sea freight, air freight and road freight)
  • Inventory Management (Daily Inventory reports, Goods receipt and write offs, etc.)
  • Order Management (Order capturing and processing; from receipt to delivery)
  • 3PL Management (Manage relationship and engage with the 3PL suppliers)
  • Following up on orders and client requirements
  • Providing feedback internally and externally
  • Managing import, export and local shipments, queries, and quotes
  • Process complete EDI documents when required (ASN, packing lists, invoices etc.)
  • Accurate data capture and analysis
  • Accurate creation and timely completion of reports
  • Working closely with finance department on recons.
  • Client relations and liaison
  • Tracking/monitoring and daily troubleshooting inbound/outbound activities
  • Strong engagement with Distribution and Logistics to meet company goals.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Excellent English communication skills; spoken, written and comprehension.
  • Must have experience in managing and controlling exports, inbound (Sea freights / Airfreights)
  • Customs requirement understanding.
  • Warehouse & inventory Management
  • 3PL Management can be an advantage.
  • Strong problem solver and analytical thinker
  • Detail-oriented and exceptional organizational skills
  • Intermediate MS Excel proficiency
  • Microsoft Office Software Skills
  • Familiar with common office equipment (printers, copier, fax, etc.)
  • Ability to work accurately and methodically.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and organize workload.
  • Ability to prioritize given tasks and work efficiently towards completing them.
  • Ability to make tough decisions.
  • Participate in all meetings with the 3PL providers.
  • Manage 3PLs that oversee the external stock.
  • Analyse the Root Causes of any logistic issues and agree with the 3PL on corrective actions.
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 10am to 7pm. Fridays 8am to 5pm.
