We are looking for an experienced logistics controller in Johannesburg.
Job requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience.
- Must have experience as detailed below.
- Manage a small fleet of trucks.
- Arrange loads from time to time.
- Link loads from various load and offload points.
- Driver communication.
- Client communication.
- Knowledge of border clearances.
- Documentation and POD filing.
- Truck routing.
- Diesel Consumption.
- Manage truck yard.
- Monitoring Loads and weights.
- Planning loads and routes.
- Cleanliness of vehicles - to ensure drivers keep there drivers clean at all times.
- Servicing of vehicles at agents.
- Breakdowns - arrange with agents and mechanics.
- Monitor tyres and usage.
- Manage Claims and damages to cargo.
- Must communicate with drivers/ clients / border agents etc, outside office hours to ensure a smooth flow of the vehicles and to avoid vehicles standing.
