An experienced music teacher is required in a full-time position at Rosebank Junior School: a single grade co-ed school with 250 learners, having a proud tradition of advancing the music and the arts.
Job requirements:
- Have a diploma or a degree qualification in Music teaching.
- Communicate well in English.
- Have experience in training primary school choirs (junior and senior).
- Teach class music as part of the core curriculum.
- Teach a music instrument e.g. piano and another instrument.
- Experience in scheduling individual and group music lessons, given the constraints of the school timetable.
- Embrace the school's obligations outside of school hours, e.g. concerts
- An enthusiastic individual, whose creativity and passion for working with learners are highly valued.
- Learners doing music must also progress by doing graded examinations on a yearly basis through a recognised music board e.g. Royal College of Music or UNISA, etc.
- This is a full-time SGB position at the school.
