Job requirements:
- Matric certificate.
- Cookery qualification will be a strict requirement.
- 2-4 years' industry experience.
- 3 years' Sous Chef experience.
- Different styles of cuisine.
- Catering for private functions experience
- Driver’s license and own transport
- Willing to work shifts and overtime.
Job responsibilities:
- Menu planning
- Stock rotation, taking, control, procurement.
- Preparation and cooking of meals in line with occupancy and menu design of clients.
- Daily preparations for upcoming functions.
- Management of the kitchen in the absence of the head chef.
- Assist with preparations and cooking of meals for functions and events at required facilities.
- Maintain health, safety and hygiene standards.
- Mentor junior chefs as required.
- Assist with ordering and buying stock for functions.
