We are looking for a skilled sous chef to join our small team at Farro, a new casual fine dining restaurant from the team behind The Kramerville Bakery, opening in Illovo, Sandton.
Job responsibilities:
- You will be working closely alongside the head chef/owner, who has been running restaurants in the UK for the past 10 years, holding his own Michelin Accreditations and working in Michelin starred kitchens.
- The opportunity to grow and learn with us is huge, and there is really potential for the right candidate to evolve with us and create something that is unique to the Joburg dining scene.
- Running Service in Head Chefs Absence
- Ordering
- Stock Control
- Staff Management
- Creative Input in Menu Design
- Working closely with FOH to ensure a high level of food and service knowledge
- Ensuring high level of Health & Safety Standards is maintained throughout the restaurant
Job requirements:
- Experience in busy kitchens essential, Formal Training preferable
- Experience in Sous Chef Role preferable.
