Youll form part of the Anti-Financial Crime Systems Specialists team based in Cape Town, assisting to build Lunos Anti-Financial Crime Systems capabilities within the Anti-Financial Crime Analytics environment. Youll be working in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment in which you will work alongside Lunos Anti-Financial Crime teams as well as many other teams across Lunos global regions. You will be responsible for identifying, planning, designing, implementing, testing, deploying and monitoring all existing and new system applications governed within the Anti-Financial Crime environment.
Your mission will be:
- Define business- and operational requirements as well as systems goals through collaboration/partnership with advisory/decision makers, systems owners and end users (Anti-Financial Crime)
- Identify and establish scope and parameters of system analysis to define outcome criteria (solutions) and measure taking actions;
- Filter, prioritise and validate potential complex material from multiple sources (internal and/or external);
- Manage business requirement expectations between Anti-Financial Crime and respective stakeholders (Product & Engineering) in order to achieve deadlines and setting the acceptable criteria;
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for Lunos reputation including the safeguarding of Luno, its customers and assets by aligning and vetting compliance with the applicable rules, laws and regulations set out by respective regulators;
- Adhering to systems policies and applying ethical judgement regarding conduct within business practices by promoting the agile radiator;
- Analyse current and future system processes, gaps in capabilities as well as appropriate data sources, system interfaces and process changes required to address capability gaps
- Generate quarterly reporting and compile results based on findings, including probable causes and potential solutions;
- Provide advice, best practice and counsel related to Anti-Financial Crime technologies and operations of the business. Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards;
- Have the ability to query data results consumed by our existing systems and the ability to articulate the data into a interpreted problem with a suggested solution;
- Supporting Lunos Anti-Financial Crime efforts and improvements of our controls across multiple regions.
- 2-3 Years or more with experience in managing of Risk & Fraud controls
- Proven track record within the Risk and Fraud environment and exposure to Anti-Financial Crime systems
- An appetite and experience in managing large sets of data with experience in managing complex problem statements
- Experience in driving internal and external systems onboarding from start to finish
- Managing of effective monitoring and continuous planning of projects
- Must have the ability to perform analysis and provide a synopsis when managing qualitative and quantitative data
- A clear understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
- Development and aggregation of system infrastructure
- Ability to perform analysis and testing, and an appetite to vet automation with necessary stakeholders
- A sound understanding of systems & software ElasticSearch
- The ability to think retrospectively and an understanding of how systems may impact customers
- A willingness and desire to get things done right for the team and Luno
- Garner an introduction and in depth understanding of our Anti-Financial Crime controls and mitigations.
- Have the opportunity to understand the cryptocurrency sphere, industry and how Anti-Financial Crime attributes to this space.
