M&A Legal Advisor: Advisory Firm, Sandton. Snr Associate Level.

Join a distinguished legal consultancy firm with decades of experience, advising clients ranging from start-ups to multi-national, dual-listed conglomerates. They are looking for an experience admitted attorney to join their Mergers and Acquisitions team.

Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal agreements and documents relating to M&A transactions.
• Attending to all legal and regulatory aspects of M&A transactions and corporate finance projects, including the negotiation of various agreements.
• Project managing corporate finance projects.
• Advising clients on the JSE Listings Requirements, the Companies Act, competition law and other applicable regulations.
• Attending to all legal and regulatory aspects of corporate actions in terms of the JSE Listings Requirements, including, inter alia, drafting and/or reviewing of circulars, SENS announcements and other JSE related documentation.

Minimum Requirements

• Admitted attorney.
• Articles from a top tier corporate law firm.
• 3+ years post-admission experience in Corporate / Commercial / M&A
• Transaction negotiation experience
• Ability to independently manage transactions from start to finish.
• Strong commercial understanding, pro-active nature and ability to think on one's feet.

Beneficial

• Experience with the JSE Listings Requirements and transactions in the listed space.
• BEE and/or private equity-related transactions

Salary is Market related based on experience. Full corporate package offered.
