RPO Recruitment's client are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Setter to join their packaging team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and maintaining packaging machines to ensure efficient and accurate production of packaging materials.
Responsibilities
- Set up and adjust packaging machines according to production requirements
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal output
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during machine operation
- Conduct regular maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure smooth operation
- Inspect packaging materials for quality and adherence to specifications
- Train and oversee machine operators to ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment
- Document machine settings and production data for record-keeping purposes
- Proven experience as a Machine Setter or similar role in the packaging industry
- Injection Moulding experience
- Knowledge of packaging machinery operations and maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical training or certification in machine setting or related field is preferred
