- General Maintenance. Install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, and wiring
- Reliability of Equipment: Provide suggestions on the lifespan of equipment and other electrical components, advising when certain components should be replaced due to potential risks.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components
- Ensure all routine maintenance work is handled on a regular schedule to reduce the risk of larger and more complex issues and to reduce costs.
- Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes, blueprints, and standards. Review blueprints to understand the placement of wiring or to comprehend the working of the equipment to provide the right service and repairs.
- Complete required documentation of repairs and service information. Keep records of all maintenance and repair work conducted, including a record of any supplies ordered and used.
- Reduce downtime based on supplies and parts. Ensure adequate inventory of necessary supplies and parts
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Qualified Trade Tested Maintenance Electrician (Minimum 3 years qualified)
- Minimum 3 years electrical maintenance experience in a factory environment
- Ability to read electrical drawings
- Ability to fault find and complete breakdowns on PLC systems
- Basic electrical schematic designing
- Robotic knowledge and fault-finding advantageous
- Maintenance experience on injection moulding machines and/or hydraulic systems advantageous
- Arc welding experience advantageous
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions
- Accurate, motivated, responsible
- Ability to work both in a team and individually
- Excellent root cause analysis and fault-finding skills
- Willing to work shifts and overtime
