Ensuring increased reliability of the equipment through cost analysis.
- Implementing and executing maintenance strategies to ensure availability of the equipment.
- Performing preventative maintenance using condition monitoring techniques for component repairs.
- Ensuring critical spares availability and rapid response to breakdowns.
- Provision of recommendations for improved maintenance of plant and equipment.
- Ensuring safe installation and proper operation, running and maintenance of all machinery.
- Responsible for the safe erection and proper maintenance of all buildings, structures and tanks.
- Ensuring that all safety appliances, mechanisms and guards are maintained in good condition.
- Ensuring legal compliance of equipment especially TMM, Lifting Equipment, pressure vessels to the relevant safety standards.
B. Eng./BSc Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Government Certificate of Competency (GCC Mines and Works).
- Experience in business improvement and continuous improvement.
- Tertiary qualification in project management will be an advantage
- At least 5 years of experience as an appointed Certified Engineer in terms of the Mine Health and Safety act.
- Minimum 5 years experience in plant maintenance
