A well-known masterbatch/colourants and additives manufacturing company providing products to the plastics converting industry requires the above to be responsible for overseeing all mechanical and electrical maintenance/requirements within the production team. Minimum requirements for the role:
- A fully qualified electrician with a Red-Seal Certification Trade-Tested Fitter or a qualified Millwright is essential for the role.
- Previous experience having worked as a Millwright (Electrical) in a production/industrial environment is essential for the role.
- Previous experience having worked on plastic extrusion lines and high-speed mixers would be advantageous.
- Must have proficient computer skills.
- The successful candidate must be able to work under pressure in a manufacturing environment and have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, from the factory floor to the director level.
- The candidate will need to have proficient electrical and or mechanical engineering skills.
- Must be able to work as a team with the machine operators, to troubleshoot and quickly resolve any breakdowns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills is essential.
- Overseeing all mechanical and electrical maintenance within a plastics extrusion plant working on equipment.
- Creating and maintaining a scheduled maintenance system for their ISO 9000 System.
- Managing and conducting the required preventative maintenance on production machines.
- Conducting all routine maintenance inspections.
- Overseeing the continuous improvement of all preventative maintenance and inspection schedules.
- Maintaining and periodically updating the critical spares list.
- Ensuring stock levels of critical spares.
- Evaluating machine conditions and breakdowns and ensuring that machinery is operating correctly.
- Providing input on new equipment requirements.
