The Maintenance Manager is the team leader of all Maintenance Technicians. As the Line Manager, he must recruit, develop and engage his Associates while maximizing the performance of the factory by eliminating maintenance and breakdown related losses.
What are we looking for?
- National Diploma in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical)
- GCC mechanical or electrical or working towards it.
- Prior maintenance supervisory experience (minimum 3 years)
- Prior maintenance support experience
- Experience in computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments and priorities.
- Ability to coach and mentor a diverse work force.
- Ability to function effectively with other departments, suppliers and service providers.
- Ensures 5S and good housekeeping in the workshop and storeroom areas.
- Maintains strict adherence to OHS Act and regulations by the team.
- Ensures strict adherence to MARS Health, Safety and Environmental rules and policies.
- Drives compliance with the rules for drawing spare parts from the storeroom.
- Work with the Maintenance Planner to drive execution and compliance of the plans:
- Schedule the Preventive Maintenance Load to Maintenance Technicians.
- Control and validate the quality of execution of Preventive Maintenance.
- Manage the development of skills to the execution of his team.
- Manage the return of Preventive Maintenance job cards to manage %age compliance.
- Participate in the improvement of Preventive Maintenance ranges.
- Participate in the control of outsourced Preventive Maintenance.
- Carry out the preparatory work (risk analyses, prevention plan, spare parts kitting, etc.).
- Drives results in planned and unplanned downtime within prescribed budgetary and statutory requirements and owns breakdown reduction.
- Supports Maintenance Technicians during plant and equipment breakdowns (fault finding) as per the escalation procedure.
- Owns Abnormality Handling DMS
- Lead the daily reliability meeting to close out 24-hour maintenance gaps impacting operations as part of the daily FMOS meetings and communicates action plans and completed work effectively.
- Effectively lead, control and manage the maintenance technicians.
- Contribute to the development and control of departmental budget.
- Contractor management on site for maintenance related activities
- Support with projects implementation in Operational Areas.
- Back up for the Site Technical Lead in the Food Defense team.
