Program Background
The Australia Solomon Islands Resource Facility (ASIRF) is a development assistance program funded by the Australian Governments Department of Foreign Affairs and . It provides a range of support services to DFAT personnel and Technical Advisers deployed to work in the Solomon Islands. One of the support services that ASIRF provides is servicing and maintenance of generators at of the residences leased by the Australian High Commission for Australian Government personnel deployed to Trade (DFAT) and managed by DT Global Honiara.
What services does ASIRF wish to procure through this RFT?
ASIRF wishes to engage a company to undertake servicing and preventative maintenance of standby generators installed at DFAT-leased properties throughout Honiara. Currently there are approximately 25 individual sites at which generators are installed although this number may vary during the period of the contract.
ASIRF will engage the successful tenderer for a period of 22 months (from 1st July 2023 to 31st April 2025) with possible extension dependent on performance.
The contractor will be required to provide the following services:
- Weekly check and refuelling (as required) of generators.
- Scheduled servicing of generators; and
- Ad hoc maintenance and repairs as requested by ASIRF.
ASIRF will evaluate tenders based on the tenderers technical capability and price. Achieving value for money is a critical consideration for the achievement of DFATs strategic objectives. It is a requirement under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act (2013) and the Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
